Behind the lens: my exciting interview with danny stygion

Houston, TX Boudoir Photographer

This past summer, I had the incredible opportunity to be interviewed by Danny Stygion, a highly respected photographer and videographer in the Houston area. For those unfamiliar with his work, Danny is the founder of Sinical Magazine, a publication dedicated to Fetish photography, and his work has been featured in numerous magazines.

The interview was a wonderful chance to dive deep into what boudoir photography means to me. We discussed how I work with clients and models, ensuring they feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera. We also touched on some of the broader topics that are shaping the industry today, including the impact of AI on photography's future. It was a thoughtful conversation that allowed me to reflect on the deeper aspects of my craft and share insights that are important to me as a photographer.

During our time together, I had the pleasure of giving Danny a tour of my studio (Celestial Studio, Tomball, TX). While not part of the interview, we did chat a bit about what it’s been like stepping into the role of a studio owner. My approach to a more minimalistic style of boudoir photography, where the client is the focal point of the image rather than the surroundings, lends itself well to keeping the spaces flexible. By maintaining a versatile studio environment, it opens up creative possibilities for a wide range of photographic styles and ideas. This flexibility is ideal since I also rent the studio to other photographers who are not solely focused on boudoir

Our model for the day was the stunning Tejana_Tesoro, whose energy brought an extra layer of vibrancy to the shoot. Danny captured some fantastic behind-the-scenes footage that really showcases the creative process and the atmosphere in the studio during a session.

I'm excited to share this interview with you because it offers a closer look at the philosophy and techniques that guide my work. I hope it provides you with a deeper understanding of what boudoir photography is all about and why I’m so passionate about it.
